Devil in Mexico

Thiamine 2

Late nights fueled by Diesel, partying hard during Game Day, and a Devil on your back that you just can't shake. Might be a dark week for Kate, but its sure fun to play.

I've had a lot of success with this deck, and I'm pretty proud of it. MVP Faust tears through most servers like they are nothing, and Clot with Clone Chip / Sacrificial Construct slows down the corp at least for a little while until you can get your rig up and running. The deck plays very simply, so there is not much need for any extra explanation.

While Faust w/ Personal Touches does all the heavy lifting, I had to put in a few backup breakers:

  • Cyber-Cypher to combat the prevalent Turings.
  • Mimic to combat the occasional Swordsman.
  • Inti for Wraparounds.

Film critic is a nice addition for soft protection against Midseasons, Jinteki net damage decks, and Argus. She even helps you nab those NAPDs for cheap.

Corp decks/cards to watch out for:

  • Butchershop: I originally thought Brain Cage + Feedback Filter + Public sympathy would be enough cushion against meat damage, but I was wrong. Maybe fit in a plascrete somewhere?
  • Will-o: Not many use this, so right now I'm just chalking this up to bad luck.
  • Just ran into a horizontal NEH deck with tour guides. Tour Guides are the worst (in real life too?) and you might want to fit in a parasite to help them on their way.

This is the first deck I've ever posted; Any tips would be appreciated, and enjoy!

A few suggestions:

-Spend the influence you're using on Day Job somewhere else. I would suggest trying to squeeze in a Parasite and Datasucker.

-Include 3 Self-modifying Code. It's that good to get the program you need when you need it.

-If Mimic is there as anti-anti-AI hate, I'd recommend swapping it for Deus X and/or Sharpshooter. Both can be searched through Self-modifying Code, and can be brought back by...

-Adding in more clone chips. This helps for the aforementioned Parasites and silver-bullet breakers.

Hope things go well!
