Chronos Protocol - Control

Myxus 22

Looking for some feedback on a Chronos Protocol: Selective Mind-mapping control-oriented deck. I'm not focused on flat-lining the runner, but more intent on sniping key cards out of their hand and/or somewhat preventing them from being played via Targeted Marketing.

I'm not too sure if the economy is fair and whether or not the variety of ICE is suited to what I'm trying to do. It has some stopping power with a bit of net damage and rig destruction thrown in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would suggest dropping 1 Rototurret in favour of another NBN 1-Influence card, (possibly another Targeted Marketing), which lets you include Salem's Hospitality at 0 influence. If you're all about sniping cards, this will do the job, since you're seeing the Runner's hand fairly regularly.

@Mechanoise Wraparound is always a good choice. I'd take that over Spiderweb rather than Rototurret though - the latter is good for and end the run sentry.

I'd reccomend dropping the other Spiderweb for Power Shutdown - getting rid of Clone Chip is good enough, but hitting a breaker with it is even better.

Thanks guys, for the suggestions.

@Mechanoise Would love to fit in that card. I think Wraparound, as @RubbishyUsername suggested might be better (3 Targeted Marketing might be too much, but I may try it out).

@RubbishyUsername Do you think a 1 of Wraparound and 1 of Power Shutdown is enough or should I try and get at least 2? I liked the multiple subs on Spiderweb and Jinteki doesn't have the best of barriers.

Doesn't matter how many subs if they can't break it. I'd still go for 1 Wraparound 1 Shutdown though. Incidentally, Salem's Hospitality isn't actually amazing: it is at best just Neural Emp #4 that can happen if they don't run.

Remember though that the reason why Chronos Protocol: Selective Mind-mapping isn't very powerful at the moment is that nothing stops the runner from just drawing and then playing the cards they need in a single turn.

When it comes to money, you might have too much, but just a little. Dropping a Celebrity Gift or a MHC is always good.

Finally, consider Snare!. It really is a good card, even if you aren't trying to kill. The time investment to redraw and remove the tag is worth the cost. I'd also think about Caprice Nisei, because it just works so wonderfully with Nisei MK II.
