Ekomind the Wyld Origami v1.1

jazzmuse 88

An update including Levy AR Lab Access. Added Knight to handle high strength ice that can't be data suckered (specifically lotus field). 3 Deja Vu's for levy recurrence specifically. Unfortunately to afford Levy I had to ditch a few clone chips, and increase the retrieval runs. Needs more testing....

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Ekomind and Levy have an anti-synergy. When you use Levy you temporarily have 0 cards in hand, therefore you have 0 MU. So whenever you use Levy, you end up trashing all of your programs as well.

@Kalavouna It can be easily solved however most of the breakers are throw away anyway so losing them is no big deal and as long as the Djinn is hosting the Origarmi's you only need 1 MU to keep them up so add some Dyson Mem Chip's and your fine since then when you discards your hand you'll have 0MU +X from the Mem chips.

`@Kalavouna - Levy is for a specific late game purpose. By then I should have Aesop's out. The way the deck works is that you start as a normal runner, and then over time you expand in hand size and draw through most of your deck. You can Aesop's Pawnshop all kinds of things in the deck, but most importantly you can Aesop's Ekomind itself prior to using Levy, but after you are within your 4 memory constraint (OR if the programs you have are counterless and you want to trash them anyway). Also, a Levy can help you recover from a Komainu or Psychic Field, which would wipe your breakers anyway. Admittedly you would have to retrieve it with a Déjà Vu or draw into it, so the better use is late game when you are running out of steam because of damage and/or any other circumstances, but if you get tricked into a psychic field early, it will definitely help you reset more quickly.

Ah, also, the times I tested the original deck in tournament, NBN was the main deck that caused me to wish I had Levy, they have very low point agendas and lots of traps, so sometimes, it gets to a point where they can burn through your entire stack. Levy AR Lab Access Could completely change the game.

@jazzmuse Hmmm interesting idea to Aesops prior to a LALA id not thought of that one.

@jazzmuse So I played v1 of your deck last night, and I think that you're right with some of these changes, but I agree with @Pinkwarrior that the Levy AR Lab Access is just not the right way to go about it.

Like you, I was using Aesop's Pawnshop left right and centre, and a targeted Power Grid Overload actually took out Ekomind halfway through the game, pushing me back down to four programmes. Heck, at the end of my second game, I had an empty deck and 14 cards in hand.

But I just wasn't dumping enough in my heap to need to recycle my deck. That might change against Jinteki, I guess (I only played Blue Sun: Powering the Future decks), but it just felt like once my rig was actually up and running, replete with Kati Jones, e3 Feedback Implants and multiple breakers, I really didn't need many other cards in hand.
