just ICE and money

Krams 949

Not much to see here, just ICE and money. Lots of both.

Very card hungry deck that plays classic Netrunner. Score behind ICE, no backup plan.

I experimented with CVS as passive Archives defense, but didn't really like it.

I really like the inclusion of Formicary, replacing Hortum. It synergise really well with Surveyor.

The idea of having every agenda get you creds is neat! And since you don't use Mass Commercialization, Wall To Wall is not needed and replaced by the more efficient Rashida Jaheem.

The only thing that could be changed is Hostile Takeover, because it make Blockchain less painful.

Here is an idea (that need to be tested) : replace Hostile Takeover and Oaktown Renovation by High-Risk Investment. Unlike the previous two, it is a 5/3 agenda, is not easy to score and does not print money as you score it. But the reward is very good. Runner are very rich these days. And a runner that prep for a big run could give you 10 to 20 credits. This is major. Finally, this would liberate 2 cards. You could include Secure and Protect to install any needed ices or include Subliminal Messaging for drip econ or add any ice you fancy.

Great list. 16 transactions will give a lot of power to Blockchain. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm, your input on the agenda suite gets me thinking...

The 1 bad pub didn't do much so far in testing, but the ability to close games with scoring Hostile from hand did.

Scoring a 5/3 on the other hand seems like a heavy tempo hit.
Not so much money-wise, but in terms of turn structure and timing.

And the benefit from High-Risk Investment pretty much falls into one of two categories, with little room between.
Either the runner doesn't have that much creds and it's not much money compared to the other agendas. Or if they have much money, more creds on my side won't really stop them from getting in. Not even 20.

The thing is... all I ever need is about 60. I expect to pay 14 towards scoring a Hostile and 3 4/2s and the rest is for ICE. Maybe a little less if the game is short, maybe a little more.
In order to get that money I can play 10 Transactions, a Rashida and just grab the rest along while scoring. And that's pretty much it.

Sure, there are games where I have to spend more on defenses, but in those games I often found myself drawing for more ICE, not for struggling to gain money.
There was a game where Hernando Cortez brought me down from 40 to 5 and I still shut the Runner out with simple taxation.

Double Blockchain and double Surveyor on a 4 ICE deep scoring remote is brutal (with 8 transactions in Archives to back up the Blockchains).
6 to install, 30 to rez and roughly 28 to break once. Maybe less with efficient breakers, but those are costly.
Yes, you can use Boomerang or Stimhack or Engolo or whatnot, but most of the times that works only once and then I just slam the next agenda in.

@Krams this is a good analysis. Scoring a Hostile Takeover out of hand can really win you games, early or late. Considering that it is 2 out of 11 agendas, it is a good game plan. Even a Project Atlas would not get you this advantage. I totally agree with you.
