Digging for Gold

You're in the desert walking along the sand. You look down and you see a tortoise, it's crawling towards you. You reach over and flip it onto its back. The tortoise lays on its back its belly baking in the hot sun beating its legs trying to turn itself over.

But it can't. Not without your help.

You're not helping.

Why aren't you helping?

If you expect shenanigans with CVS, I recommend holding a fan site on the board so that you can get an appropriate breaker after the wipe sets in. There are barriers that are a problem still, sure; but they're not common yet, and sac con will do in most of these cases.

Deck is a pretty classic AI-R&D lock. Feels about as bad as atman did back in the day. You can hit R&D every turn, digging deep enough and turning wheel is classic au revoir tech.

GPI is critical to being able to play after a wipe. Beth, too. I'm pretty sure you can't play netrunner without film critic, NACH anymore. And Sac Con is the last fail safe.

Q-Coherence Chip is the oddball, you can turn it into akamatsu or netchip if you like or dhegdeer or whatever. It's just the thing in the deck to be able to have a clutch breaker installed. If you have to do 2 au revoir and zu+not; You can. It's certainly not preferred.

What about matchups?

Moons - You can race a bit. Checking remotes lets you power up your turtle. It's not the best. You'd prefer to be playing with desperado and informant, so you should run an Andromeda version of the deck instead; it's less consistant & slower; but being able to sustain an R&D lock with black file is fine. Coinflip more than anything; I compare to the old 3x astro decks. You get the 3/2s first, you probably win. Mull for astrolabe.

AgInf - Snitch + GPI means you never have to deal with ice you don't want to. Your biggest problem will be the rush variety; but you've got an innate answer to excaliber, so you actually get to play the game. Also, you've got a good economy engine which is half the battle. Not having to pay to pump your breaker means you have a better shot than most decks. Chiyashi is obviously a problem, but unless they're packing extra murder you just make sure to minimize contact before your pieces are in place.

Yellow-Tag-Something - Get NACH down with film critic and just keep them honest. It'll be hard. You want to run, they want you to run. Hart Hitting News is really the biggest problem, so never go below 8 and always have NACH up. If you can get both critics out so that you dig 4-5 deep without worrying about stealing to explodes. Control boom with turning wheel on HQ. NACH will handle most of the AI hate and data raven. It's honestly your most important breaker in the matchup. GPI shines in this matchup since a lot of the ice NBN plays is expensive to deal with due to high strength, which is the thing GPI minimizes.

WeylandFA - FanSite for your combo as soon a spossible. Keeping a nach down is helpful, but only if you're reading tagging components. If you're sure they're vegan then just prioritize the R&D dig. Hortum is your biggest concern, which means having to break with zu. This is not ideal, so if they go for it make a bank and just do what you can.

ThousandCuts/Prison decks - Don't play against replicants.
