Dop·pel·gäng·er Val (3rd Place @ 2015 St. Louis Regional

Helped me get to 5th in Swiss and 3rd overall at the St. Louis Regional.

I teched pretty hard against RP/Batty but only faced one on the day. This left me vulnerable to Butchershop and I was flatlined more than I'd like to admit (mostly due to carelessness). I've played a version of this deck at two regionals and 2 GLC events and its overall record sits at 19-5.

In this most recent version I added in Career Fairs, Sacrifical Constructs to help squelch Batty program trashing and corps killing my NRE with Power Shutdown and swapped Desperado for Doppelganger (mainly due to influence constraints). Doppelganger also allows two BP for a click, two NRE uses for a click, two Datasucker counters for a click, two Medium counters for a click, two remote checks for a click, helps against the RP matchup, saves you a click to remove a tag post-Vamp, and relieves a bit of the pain of having Wyldside out while digging for your Chronotype. All that being said, if you dropped the two Sac Cons and swapped the Doppels for Desperados, I would totally understand.

Doppelganger hands down won me three games - two against NEH where it allowed me to apply insane Medium pressure and once against the only RP I saw all day.

The deck threatens Blackmail but doesn't heavily rely on it mid to late game. Once you're setup, the cheap runs are all you'll need. I also prefer not to rely too heavily on recursion so only one Deja and one Clone Chip.

Djinn isn't terribly common these days but he provides an MU cushion for Medium/Suckers/D4v1D and I typically end up using his tutor ability at least once a game.
