Ruining someone else's deck

Lttlefoot 1285

I saw a Chaos Sage deck which I decided to try and modify. I added MemStrips in place of Dyson, since Sage doesn't care what kind of memory you've got, so then I thought Creeper wasn't the best killer any more and decided to try out Dagger. Silencer synergized with Replicator but used up a lot of influence so I had to change Lucky Find into Modded and I also got rid of Quality Time to cut down the deck size and because I don't like that card. The end result is this completely ruined deck you see.

Much better tha memory strips: Deep Red. Cost 2/ 1 influence

Deep Red is a console, so I can't get two copies out and I can't use them at the same time as Dinosaurus which is much better here.

Dagger doesn't really work without #cloak and using mu for extra programs is anti synergistic with sage. I've tried to get sage working with memstrips and found it takes a long time to get my rig set up. What have you found?

Talk to the guy who this deck is derived from for info on how it runs. But I don't think it would be too hard to draw into one of three Silencers eventually yeah? (They're used instead of Cloak because they don't take memory).

Seems like you should add some Ghost Runners as well, then you can use those for stealth credits if it's hard to find the silencers. Also my (sadly many) experiences trying to get Dino-anything to work, the timing aspect of getting Dino first then the program is the killer. Therefore either Personal Workshop or Scavenges are important to fix that. Therefore I would switch out the Inside Mans for them and maybe a memstripsx1 and moddedx1 for 2 stimhacks. But now I'm ruining your deck :)

This deck uses dino but it's not essential. A dino gives sage +4 Str but a replicator with either a memstrips or cyber chip gives +6 Str. I guess even Uninstall could work if you wanted to add a late Dino. The ghost runner suggestion is good.

Yea, if you run like this I would definately pull the Replicators for something.... and the Inside Man for Ghost Runner. You are going to have a difficult time finding your solo e3 Feedback Implants, so just keep that in mind.

I really like the Quality Time because in test draws I usually dump an entire hand by turn 2. Having that to bump up to full in one action is great. Dyson Mem Chip synergises with Creeper to use even less MU. If all else fails, Sage first, then install Dinosaurus . As part of the install action, you can sack Sage and then Clone Chip it back out.

If you have a Dinosaurus a Lucky Find and a Sage or Self-modifying Code in your first draw, you can have a "full rig" by turn two and get running. Average test draws, without running, rig was up by turn 4. Take a look at the "Not a 40 Card CT. Stop Asking" and compare and contrast.

And FYI, its not ruined, just definitely going in a different direction.

Was the original deck by any chance mine? (Cerebral Sage) You seem to be running TONS of MU; Cyber solutions + memstrips is 12 already, 5 to start means they become dead cards against most decks. If anything the cyber solutions can become akamatsu memchips. Cheaper and not as wasteful.

Economy wise, where is your money coming from?
