eminent circle (1st @ NANPC philly)

It's basically Circle of Life meets Dividing by Two Two, plus a certain 3 influence 2 cost yellow upgrade that's been around since long before holo man was cool.

The bogeyman right now is obviously WT ari. In principle your 3 mavs give you counterplay to trash physarum before the encounter, but in practice you still have to go a lot slower, ice every server, and save a mav you'd otherwise be using to get regolith/tucana/arella, and by then ari has enough time to get real rig + turbine down and you are toast. I think the matchup is probably 30% but I'd certainly rather face her as this than as tuno's assets. On the day I faced ari once, and lost, but on such a bad mulligan that I had to give up naked agenda + tucana just to make a BC, so not really informative. We are down to 1 envelopment (benvelopment) because of ari and hafrun is obviously terrible there too. I had also been considering cutting the trojan horse for a hammer (just to be a 4th bad stavka for the mavirus physarum trick) but put the horse back at the last minute, and the horse was ultimately crucial in the grand finals.

Other matchups were against reg sable, lobi kit, reg sable, jeitinho sable, and esa, all wins. The esa match in particular (vs Brandon/The King) was incredible, look forward to that commentated vod whenever those are posted.

My metamate Colin/AnOddRadish played tuno's version and said that people just know to trash H&M now and he just wished he was this deck and had thimblerig. Thimblerig was a powerhouse all weekend, notably letting me build a barrier lockout vs the 3rd jeitinho after trashing tycoon with SDS.

Arella is better than holo man because you can circle-of-life her out with azef and use her that turn, she costs less to use to gain you the same two clicks, and more to trash. idk, you're just not trying to never-advance a 5/3 as your first agenda like Azmari does. She does a different thing that is more at home in this deck.
