Sable against PD (4th @Swiss Nats 2024)

EhiEhi, this is Atien from Italy. Yesterday I come back home from one of the greatest week end in my life: Swiss nats was the perfect melt between enjoying the competitive netrunner and having fun doing also other stuff with the community. I won't dwell further on the event itself, 'cause everyone that was there already know me felling about it, I just want to thanks @lukenukem for organizing it <3

So, the tournament was little (19 people), but intense; we've played 7 SSS turn with top4:

T1: Win vs Emmanuel (PD - shoot in the moon)

this Sable has the perfect metch-up against PD, just stealing the agenda before the corp can ever seen it. He started as all the great PD does, trying to score a Off World Office protected by one ice. I've do mine stuff, running my mark with a Carpe Diem - officially the best card of the deck - and then just bypass the remote's ice and steal the agenda. Two turns later I was at 6 point after a deep dive and being so rich that I could steel every agenda he try to install or waiting to find another deep dive for the win.

T4: Win vs Porkobolo (PD - shoot in the moon)

Great: another PD!

Not Great: my husbando was the pilot.

I've destroyed it pretty much in the same way of T1's PD. Fast turn so we had more time to chill out.

T6: Win vs LostGeek (OB - Tranquillity City Grid Value)

the games I had against Lostgeek during this week end was the greatest of all the event. I've to be honest, I didnt deserve this victory (but the deck maybe does). I started with stealing an agenda from R&D (Azef protocol for 2 points) and some turns later doing a deep dive for 4 points. I was thinking that the greatest move was to sitting in my money and waiting for another deep dive or stealing the agenda from his remote. He's installing advance twice when I've only 6 money, so I take some times to decide if I've to run, waisting the money but maybe win or just take my time and stealing the next agenda. I totally forget that I've alredy trashed a Shibboleth, so I was sure that even an SDS doesn't hurt me so much. I decided to waiting to be SURE to win and let him scoring his SDS, looking at mine heap and choosing to trash my CodeGate breaker. With the OB ability he install a Thimblering as the othermost ice of R&D and I realize only in that moment the huge mistake I've done D: From that moment I try to collect as many by-pass trigger I can, but he keep installing ice on R&D and the only thing I can do is run HQ to find the same Audacity like 5 times (what a moment! We both laugh a lot about that) and whit only 5 cards on R&D I win at time, but he for sure will win with 1/2 turn more.

Consideration: I really like this deck, it's more Shaper that it seems and do a lot of money, but you have to do also a lot of "Click: Draw" to see the economy but Class Act for sure help a lot. I choose to bring this deck because I'm expecting a lot of PD and not so much Aginfusion/Jinteki and I've read the meta pretty well. I don't know how the matchup is against OB, I think it's good vs the MAD combo and a little under the 50/50 against the wowarlok one.
