[Standard] Concussive Sports

Mancini 62

On your mark.

Get set.

GO!

This deck is like those Sportsmetal: Go Big or Go Home rush decks, with one key difference. Instead of using the ID ability to go faster, we use it to give the runner concussions. Then use the concussions to go faster.

The strategy here is disgustingly simple. Find a piece of ice, and keep stuffing agendas behind it. The ice here is either good taxing ice or is Meridian. (Yes, I'm using Meridian. Sue me.)

Once the runner gets through your ice and passes your Manegarm, they will either have to take some core damage or spend precious clicks and credits to avoid it. If they opt to take the core damage, Ontological fast advance to victory. If they don't take the core damage, stuff another agenda behind the same ice and bleed their resources further. If you need money, use Stock Buy-Back to get dozens of credits.

And the coup-de-grâce? Fast Break into SanSan City Grid. Late in the game, it's practically a Biotic Labor that also leaves SanSan on the board. Groovy. By the time you're ready to do this, you'll be sitting on around 20 credits, so you can totally afford it.

You might wonder why I'm only using one Spin Doctor. I also wonder why I'm using one Spin Doctor. I probably shouldn't be using only one Spin Doctor. But I am. Because News Team.

And because of News Team...Hypoxia. I've been encountering a surprisingly large number of tag-me Alice lately, so having two Hypoxias really helps with turning on my Ontologicals. Heck, with the Fast Break-SanSan City Grid fast advance combo, you can go score those Ontologicals with only one core damage.

This deck stuffs Kabonesa Wu: Netspace Thrillseeker early-game by virtue of its sheer speed and taxing power, and a late-game double digit draw from Fast Break can bypass even the chonkiest of Conduit runs for the win.

Mill Alice is actually one of my best matchups, since I can gleefully discard Nightmare Archives and News Team from HQ during archives runs. Even if the runner lands a lucky Chastushka or Time Bomb, you can make archives too hot to handle by dumping in a couple more one pointers. I once got a flatline off of an archives run after I dumped an additional Élivágar Bifurcation into archives versus an Alice who wasn't expecting the additional agenda.

Bonk, bonk, bonk, ded.

Mancini, seeing your name pop up a bit, looks like we got another deck building prodigy on the block… welcome onboard. Great list!
