Swift Ken

Zero Netrunner 85

A trap that I see a lot of Ken decks fall into is having too many run events that can pile up in your hand if you don't have ample econ to actually use them.

Liberated Accounts is particular good here since Ken needs a lot of money fast for Engolo runs and the extra click Swift gives you can be awkward without a good card to click on action number 5.

I'm not sold on Mystic Maemi, especially vs a third Liberated, as the small costs attached to playing events is rarely where Ken is hurting but I am giving it a try. I think Easy Mark is better than it looks, since Drug Dealers are often giving you a lot of extra cards and you are always happy for burst money. I'm not sure Networking is better or worse than On The Lamb or even Papertripping. Saker has been surprisingly good as Kakugo is often on HQ and credit denial tends to be the the proper attack in the Jinteki matchup.

It suffers to rig-shooting especially and a Clone Chip for Mystic Maemi might be a consideration. I also toy with a slot for lucky-charm or a bay solution like Poli Op but slots.

Nice deck 😁

Liberated Account is a nice include, but in my games I found Kati Jones sufficed for that 5th click action and the influence was better spent on power cards.

High-Stakes Job is an interesting choice over Hot Pursuit as it doesn't have to target an already preasured HQ. But personally I like Hot Pursuit as it's good on turn 1, especially against asset spam, where High-Stakes Job could be virtually dead.

As zmb had mentioned in the comments on Hang Ten Ken 1.1 Bankroll helps against SDS Drone Deployment.

I went for a 3rd Drug Dealer in hindsight over John Masanori as the tag with things like Border Control end the run abilities can be a killer if you run late in the turn. Plus getting Drug Dealer early is always good.

I would like to have Khusyuk over The Maker's Eye but that requires more deck slots.

I like that there are options in Ken "Express" Tenma: Disappeared Clone decks.

Stay Swifty

...yeah that going to end up as a Rick and Morty Schwift themed deck name 🙈

@GcFlash I don't know how you aren't always broke without Liberated. Kati is important but slow and setting up and having enough money to actually play Engolo and make expensive runs to get your run events going was as problem for me in the Ken decks I was messing with. Especially with a third drug dealer, I imagine hurting for cash in a lot of early games.

I don't get Hot Pursuit, as it loses value without tag removal (you can't count on the Networking one-of and it only nets 1 if you have it). Also, as you mentioned, HQ runs are rarely cheap enough to make it exciting. High Stakes job is my special sauce as Engolo removes fear of unrezzed ice and 7 credits plus a run plus sometimes a Swift click, plus mystic Maemi value makes it the objectively best draw at most points in the game. I, too, could take of leave Masanori. Maybe the slow would be better as a Lucky Charm.

Money wise mostly because Liberated Account is only 10 credits for 5 clicks, so most other Econ is just as good ie Armitage Codebusting. The best Econ card in the deck is Dirty Laundry which once set up is 8 clickless credits, which is why I went with Trope.
