SGO Weyland Deck

Shadow The 6th 2

This is a System Gateway Only Deck

I am working on publishing a decklist for each of the factions, to give better options to teach the game to newer players, currently there are no bans in the System Gateway only format.

Check out Metropole Grid's Deckbuilding 101 Video's. Please watch his video's as they a great way to learn, as I based other decks off of the video's he completed.

Game Plan:

Your goal is to win by scoring out agendas in a strong remote server using Pharos as our endgame protection, and quickly with Seamless Launch.

You do have the secondary goal of slipping in a Clearinghouse to flatline the runner when they least expect it, or when you aren't finding your agendas.

Deck Explanation:

Agendas: *In System Gateway there are very limited options.

  • Above the Law is a great way to trash a resource when the runner doesn't expect it and is a cheap 3/2 agenda to score out.

  • Offworld Office & Send a Message Allows for good economy and give you a chance to rez Pharos or Ballista for free.

  • Superconducting Hub gets us to 18 agenda points, leaving our deck with a high ratio 8:44 which ~1:5.5 Cards for the runner to find an agenda.

Economy:

  • Weyland Consortium: Built to Last allows us to advance cards for the first time and to gain a credit instead of losing one this can add up over the course of the game.

  • Hedge Fund are great early economy and can be great sustain throughout the game. Government Subsidy fills the same role just requires more credits to play to gain 5 credits instead of 4.

  • Regolith Mining License Is your staple to get ahead on credits, play this in your remote server, when possible, but you can also place this unprotected from time to time.

  • Predictive Planogram can be used for credits when needed, but you will want to use it to draw cards when possible.

  • Seamless Launch is great to score out an Offworld Office that was installed last turn, or two of them to score a Send a Message. Keep in mind you can also use this to buff a Pharos in rare cases to help keep the runner guessing.

Protection:

  • Whitespace & Tithe are cheap and efficient ice that tax the runner in the early game and can be rez'd without large economy. Both of these can cause the runner clicks to recover cards or credits.

  • Palisade is a great staple to protect your remote server, and can be surprisingly effective against Cleaver. This is our easy protection in the early game.

  • Pharos is extremely strong once you advance it 3 times, and will stop the runner if you can find the clicks to invest in it. System gateway really doesn't have an easy way to deal with it.

  • Ballista is also a great threat to prevent aggressive runners before they can break it. If you can break their barrier ice breakers to completely lock them out of your servers you strongly increase your chance of winning.

  • Manegarm Skunkworks on a server is great protection. This can help protect an agenda or a Clearinghouse. It can also help shore up HQ or R&D depending on the runner's strategy.

Special Notes:

  • Card draw is limited in system gateway, but if don't see reliable card draw like Spin Doctor or Predictive Planogram you should consider clicking to draw.

  • Spin Doctor allows for you to shuffle in cards that have been trashed or played. Learning when and what targets to shuffle in with spin doctor is a great way to improve your skills.

  • Clearinghouse is a tricky card to identify when to play it and when not to. Also be careful when trying to rush it, as it can be very risky depending on the runner.

  • Malapert Data Vault is nice to help find cards you need like Pharos, Predictive Planogram, or Manegarm Skunkworks.
