[STANDARD] Forks and Knives

Diogene 4179

Fork the runner between scoring or flatlining or vice versa.

Game plan : try to score Fujii Asset Retrieval in the remote, either the runner take it and you Punitive Counterstrike or they don't and you Neurospike.

Mulligan plan : you want ices.

The ices are there to tax the runner. Aside from the Tsakhia "Bankhar" Gantulga kill on Anansi, ices will not flatline usually, nor will they stop the runner.

With Bridgeman World deck, everyone knows that Archive can be poisoned, especially if they see Punitive Counterstrike. Using Gaslight to fetch will usually slow the runner, because keeping a big pile of credits is a good strategy.

But here, instead of forking the runner with Regenesis, we do it through Neurospike, with the power of Jinteki: Personal Evolution. Here, only Marrow, T400 Memory Diamond and LilyPAD can save you.

With 7x 3 points agendas, any score is a threat. You can potentially score out with Gene Splicer, which double as a trap.

Games are usually rather short. Once you have one ice rezzed on each server, it is usually not useful to Rez more than that, unless Botulus or ice destruction happens.

There are some refinement that could be made. A consideration would be to go to 45 cards and take out the Gaslight in favor of either Your Digital Life or Seamless Launch. This could make the deck much faster, at the cost of an higher variance.

Enjoy!

Nice deck Diogene - do you find you have enough money to Punitive in this one? only 1 seamless seems suspicious, even with gaslights, maybe you need a la costa in here too to enable to Neurospike turn more consistantly

@Baa Ram Wu, yeah, there are some options to survive this.

The Seamless Launch is the weak point of the deck. My thoughts were on using PE for Neurospike and to further poison archive. Here, two 3 points agendas can represent 2 to 6 net damages, making it easier to land the Punitive Counterstrike.

Neurospike is the second part of the fork. Instead of scoring out, we can proactively flatline the runner.

Using La Costa Grid to have one more Your Digital Life is a great shoutout. I'll do that!

In my tests, Gaslight bring more consistency for the Punitive Counterstrike play. It might be that Gaslight is better than Spin Doctor.

I'm experimenting with this on a 45 cards chassis. Trying out the same shell as RH, but with no Spin Doctor and Regenesis instead of Gene Splicer. I'll post it when it has been further tested.

With this current deck, I was able to land the punitive and the neurospike. But not able to score out. I was however able to win a game by flatlining with Gene Splicer. So, it might be indicative that Urtica Cipher could be good here.

The hard part is not rezzing everything, as you need to balance taxing the runner and having enough credits for Punitive Counterstrike.

If you try it, tell me how that went (or stream it ;-)

Congratulations on winning November AMT! Cheers!
