Cutlery Noise- SoT (1st Magic Stronghold SC, 3x SC Wins)

Bilitherubin 212

Participated and took down my third Store Championship at Magic Stronghold Games, Vancouver, BC, Canada on March, 5th. The field was a total of 21 players, with 5 rounds of Swiss, and a cut to top 4. I also partook in a side casual tournament the next day at Terminal City Convention held by Terminal 7 for 4 rounds of Swiss, and took first as well.

In total, out of the 3 SC and the side tournament, my Cutlery Noise has won 21.5 games out of a possible 24. Including the games in the cut. The 1/2 win was a timed win that I didn't quite deserve for having only 10 minutes to run against Blue Sun Bootcamp.

The deck went against HB Glacier, NEH FA, Titan, and 2x Jinteki Biotech for the Swiss part of SC. During the top cut, it went against NEH FA, HB Glacier, and Titan. For the games in the casual tourney the day after, it played against Argus, HB Glacier, Jinteki Biotech, and Blue Sun Bootcamp.

The most recent change from my previous list was -1 Grimoire and +1 Cyberfeeder. A return to a more classic "Econ" slot. This change I'm still undecided, and may play around with a bit more to see. Grimoire was sometimes discarded the first time I see it depending on the status of my economy, thus I decided to give Cyberfeeder a try again.

Overall I like how the deck handles both Glacier and FA strategies. The Cutlery cards dealt with Turing/Ichi/Eli's and such quite nicely during my Glacier match ups, whilst the 2x Clot were easily recurred/luck sack draw with Street Peddler.

For all 4 of my tournaments, I have used mostly the same HB:ETF deck, with minor changes. It is as follows:

How the deck does against decks that want to flatline you like 24/7 accident scorch?

@Marcelo imp the operation and keep IHW in hand. Milling also helps dismantling their combo cards.

@Marcelo Exactly as iceqs mentioned, you will just need to imp their hand after you identify their kill plan. When I see haarp or NEH I usually check HQ a few times to see if they are on 24/7 or not and plan accordingly.

Unless they have a super nut draw, they can't kill you on turn 3 or 4. At which point having a combination of IHW and imp should keep you alive to dismantle the kill pieces. If you are in a heavy scorch environment though, slotting a plascrete isn't a bad idea.

This is realllly nice. Been trying it as an alternative to "standard" Noise and I like the cutlery a LOT in this shell. Great stuff!

@SneakdoorMelb Glad you like it! A few local players questioned my inclusion of the cutlery cards and levy, and that made me want to keep using it even more :b
