The Big Short

Will you play against the big shots? Is it time to go small?

After MWL was brought to the world, I finally envisioned a world where, maybe, weyland could be brought back from the dead. After some variations with Supermodernism using the wonderful Titan Transnational, I was met with lots of parasite recursion, clone chip, rich runners and lots of meat damage protection. NBN still killed faster and way more reliable than Weyland any day of the week. It does FA better too. And Glacier too. Damn, NBN can even rigshoot nowadays. So what does Weyland can do better?

One and only ine thing: Instill Fear in runners hearts. There is nothing more terrifying for a runner than a rich weyland. The cautious start is your way to the victory. That and rig meltdown, thats for sure. By disrupting the runner breakers, you can gor for a Atlas train fast and furious.

Economy

Strong set of basic events + Hostile Takeover + Launch Campaign. Mark Yale is awesome mid-late game.

Oaktown Renovation helps a lot too, but its the perfect agenda to lure runners for a trap.

Rig meltdown

Its pretty obvious here. Archer, Negotiator, Rototurret so you can spread out between your servers ICEs that can trash programs, so Marcus Batty became a threat in every single server out there. Reclamation Order is there if you need more of it. Blacklist and Chronos Project to keep the heap alone.

Gameplay

Protect your centrals according to the runners factions. Than, try to rush a Project Atlas or score any Hostile Takeover you get. As soons as you get your Marcus Batty and a trash program ICE protecting it, lure the runner with a Oaktown Renovation or go for a full Atlas train. Keep the runner running and spending parasites in your weak ICEs. If you feel they are afraid and digging for the rig, keep scoring agendas. Do not be afraid to Power Shutdown any breaker at all. Anything trashed by the runner is a good thing, remember.

By letting meat damage go and focusing in a fast and agressive strategy, this deck got way more reliable. There is not a single game that I do not pressure the runner and even when I lose, its by really close games. There was a game at jinteki.net yesterday that this first noise turn was, cache, datasucker and archives for 6 points (thats right, the only 2 High-Risk Investment ) and even than I got 5 points and got close to winning. I feel like this have some kind of potential in the current meta, with some modifications and it can be a great deck. Thoughts are always welcome.
