Endurance is a ridiculous card, why not jam it into a stealth build too?

I took this list to PDX Déjà Vu Store Champs August 13th 2022 and went 2-1, along with Pravdivost glacier which also went 2-1 for a 3rd place finish of 8. Thanks mystermerry for setting up the event!

Round 1 versus Sportsmetal: Go Big or Go Home

Endurance carried me through this match and I never got my stealth rig established. I managed to nab a few early agendas which opened the path for Deep Dive to close the game out with a fully powered Beth Kilrain-Chang. Win

Round 2 versus Azmari EdTech: Shaping the Future

I definitely played too aggressively in this game, dismantling my rig to steal a Degree Mill. I likely should have given up on this agenda to establish a stronger rig, economy, and anti-kill tech first. With only Endurance left, I rushed a deep dive and completely missed, leaving me with almost no credits and very quickly dead to Hard-Hitting News-BOOM!. Credit to my opponent for strong early game plays and a solid scoring plan that pressured me into a losing position. I would have loved to have access to Imp or Because I Can this game to delay defensive agendas until I was able to handle them better. Loss

Round 3 versus Sportsmetal: Go Big or Go Home

This played out very similarly to round 1, stealing a few easy early points, except that I needed to rely on Clot and multiple Simulchips to buy enough time to dig toward either Deep Dive or The Twinning. Got there in the end with Dive. Win

Takeaways

Endurance is really good. Really, really good. However, jamming an early boat does really make it hard to also set up your late-game stealth doom rig to the point where I was playing with a blank ID a non-insignificant amount of the time. I was running on low real credits almost every game and because both the Endurance and stealth gameplans rely on running every turn to build up value, you open yourself up more to kill.

Aniccam may still be the more reliable console choice for Smoke but the early contesting power of boat is undeniable. I'm not entirely certain the best way to shore up kill matchups. Specific tech or more solid econ could be reasonable options, though I suspect better play and understanding of the game would have helped me a lot more.
