WHAT'S UP GAMERS WE GOT THE META SOLVED TIER 1 SUPERMODERNISM IS BACK THIS IS THE ONLY DECK YOU NEED TO CARE ABOUT

well idk it seems decent anyway. it's fun at least. slap an eminent down and threaten your opponent with a big ass lizard. help make stealing it painful with angelique. if they do take it, PUNISH THEM. if you do score it, put the lizard wherever you're most vulnerable (probably R&D). there's not actually that much pressure you can apply early in the game anymore with this limited cardpool though so you may have to pivot to glacier. luckily, you can put together a pretty decent ice suite by advancing your ice incidentally (e.g., KPI, akhet, syailendra, tree line). your goal is to make running so painful that the runner eventually becomes vulnerable to tag and bag or that you just win on points. the prior happens more often than the latter, though the latter is certainly not impossible.

i brought this to our first elevation tournament yesterday and was definitely pleased with its performance. it dropped one game in swiss against a very careful and dedicated hoshiko and then absolutely bricked in the cut by only drawing the unhelpful agendas. flooding isn't as much of a problem for this deck as for others but it is if you're only drawing the bad ones.

a few notes on card choices:

  • i'm swapping orbital for off the books or offworld office. i knew it was probably just a fantasy and it turns out, yes, it is. playing a blank 3/2 is probably just the right call so you can sneak out a win.

  • anthill sucks. i knew it sucked but i figured i should confirm. i have confirmed: it sucks. it is so expensive to rez for minimal payoff and so cheap to trash. it should be replaced with regolith or wall to wall. regolith is probably the right choice but i am very tempted by wall to wall. that card feels crazy good and will make your tree lines disgusting, but you'd probably need to put it in a single ice server if you want it to actually be tough to trash. the regolith can just temporarily fill your scoring remote and that's probably an easier ask.

  • key performance indicators is a fun multitool with a lot of hidden value but also i'm probably going to go down to two-of. using it to bury agendas (or the biawak that i can't eminent from HQ) is super useful, using it to install the third ice in the remote without paying the install cost is great, etc.

  • measured response is fine. it's a decent pressure card but it's only going to win games against very careless runners. it's also online for such a short period of the game that drawing it can feel like such a burden. i have snuck out surprise wins by using angelique for the final damage however.

  • syailendra is very fun. it's no mausolus but i do like how often runners just let it fire. it's also easy to get it to three-advancements in this deck so its secondary text will fire constantly. slap it on R&D and archives and have fun.

  • mindscaping is very useful both as a tempo tool and as a kill line but i think we need to drop one to fit the third oppo. i often found myself hungry for an oppo and being unable to find it, so we've got to find the influence somewhere. we could replace a funhouse with a third syailendra but the funhouse tag is genuinely very annoying, so i am hesitant to drop one of them.

  • i would love to have some R&D poison in the form of behold or snare but the influence and the slots are so tight. the deck also is already a bit poor some of the time so it's probably not viable to be hitting them on a regular basis.

okay thanks for reading now get out there and make this deck better let's make something truly atrocious
